Very happy with purchase. I have not tried the camera mount yet though.Would recommend getting a x0.7 or x0.5 Barlow lens for wider FOV.
You can t beat this for the money!!I am a biologist and have used many very very expensive dissecting scopes. Considering this one cost about 1/10th the price of a German scope it is a phenomenal deal. The optics are sharp! The 2x objective has strong spherical aberrations but only at the lowest magnification. The field of view is smaller than more expensive scopes so if you do surgery on larger animals this might not be the best. If you work on things smaller than a walnut you re good to go!The ringlight is ok. Ringlights aren t the best light source in general and this one is no exception. There are some weird reflections from flat objects.. The color of the leds is very blueish white which makes it not great for seeing red colors which are important if you are performing surgery on vertebrates (since blood is red).Other than those caveats this is a great scope!! Its very well built and heavy duty and the optics are perfectly functional! A $2000 scope would be better but not by much. I use scopes in a professional capacity and I will be keeping this one for years!
The microscope has a nice clear sharp view. It also has a nice sturdy heavy base that keeps it from sliding or tipping over. The knobs are easy to use and have a smooth operation. I do wish however that the scope head pivoted downward in addition to to the vertical movement. Overall I would say its worth buying and a great scope for this price.
Well constructed and works perfectly for small electronics soldering and repair. Must have for a starting hobbyist looking for a comfortable way to solder smd components!
Nothing to dislike about it. Works great. Focuses perfectly. Love it.
